National Qualified Nursing Week recognized in May

The month of May celebrates National Skilled Nursing Week.

The past year has presented unprecedented challenges to skilled nursing facilities as they weathered the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite having to adapt to unforeseen challenges, our facilities have continued to serve our communities by providing quality clinical care to meet the needs of our most vulnerable population.

Our facilities provide an interdisciplinary approach to healthcare, offering onsite physicians, nurse practitioners, 24 hour nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, nurse aides, dietitians , social work and recreation staff.

Our dedicated team of clinicians serve both short and long term patients.

Acute care is designed to help a person return home or to a lower level of care, such as an assisted living facility, home care or hospice, after a hospital stay. During a short stay, each member of the team helps guide your progress, manages your discharge planning and reduces the likelihood of returning to the hospital.

Long-term care is designed for those who need help with activities of daily living and personal care in a home environment.

Qualified nursing facilities are a vital component of the health care continuum, providing a bridge between hospital and home. We pride ourselves on providing the services and resources that get our short-term patients home faster, while meeting the needs of our long-term residents every day.

As part of the ProMedica Health System, Provincial House of Adrian is proud to serve the residents of Lenawee County.

To celebrate National Skilled Nursing Week, we thank all the clinicians and administrative staff who have helped those in need during this unforgettable year. We would also like to thank the patients and families who placed their trust in us. We look forward to continuing to evolve and improve to better meet the needs of our patients, their families and our community.
