South Dakota Healthcare Association Celebrates National Skilled Nursing Week This Week

The theme for National Skilled Nursing Week (May 8-14, 2022) 2022 is “Building and Nurturing Connections”. The theme will honor the collaborative commitment of skilled nursing facilities and their staff to provide compassionate care to their residents during this unprecedented time.

This year’s NSNCW Annual Celebration recognizes the role of skilled nursing centers in caring for America’s elderly and disabled. Every person in the long-term and post-acute care community helps improve the quality of life for all residents by providing them with a home that allows them to have the essential connections they need to thrive.

The South Dakota Health Care Association (SDHCA), along with the American Health Care Association, encourages the people of South Dakota to celebrate the achievements of Nursing Centers in continuing to improve the quality of life for our state’s seniors. , especially in these difficult times. Providing quality care is always mission number one!

“Celebrating, recognizing and honoring the staff and residents of our South Dakota Skilled Nursing Centers is more important than ever,” said SDHCA Executive Director Mark B. Deak. “Long-term caregivers are totally committed to providing the best possible care to our elderly and disabled South Dakotans.”
