The Briarcliff Manor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, in partnership with Trans Ams & Camaros of the Hudson Valley, will host the “Classics at the Cliff Car Show” on Sunday 10 Octobere on the grounds of the Briarcliff Manor Center at 620 Sleepy Hollow Road.
According to AJ Thomas, Director of Marketing and Community Relations for the Briarcliff Manor Facility, the show, which will showcase American cars from all years, makes and models, will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and entry for show cars and spectators is free. In addition, there will be awards for the best cars and raffle prizes for the guests. Briarcliff Manor will provide complementary food and drink and music for a fun day on the cliff.
âThe staff and administration of Briarcliff Manor Center not only see themselves as providers of exceptional subacute rehabilitation and enhanced Alzheimer’s care to the greater community of Briarcliff Manor, we see ourselves as neighbors, of true members of the community, âsays AJ Thomas. âAs such, we are delighted to welcome the ‘Classics at the Cliff Car Show’ as a way to invite the public to our home, to the grounds of our facility,â explained Thomas.
Franck Plogger, longtime member of Trans Ams & Camaros of the Hudson Valley, predicts that there will be more than 50 cars at the show representing a wide variety of American makes and models, all competing for the best prices.
âMore often than not, residents and staff of a rehabilitation and nursing center are segregated and separated from the community around their facility,â says the Briarcliff administrator, Yehuda Gottlieb, MHA, LNHA. âAt Briarcliff, we work hard throughout the year to reach out to the communities we serve and to encourage our neighbors to visit our facility on special occasions as they can. It creates a strong relationship and serves to fulfill our mission to be an integral part of our surrounding neighborhoods, âsaid Gottlieb.
In case of bad weather, October 24e was set aside as a rain date.
