The Gold Seal is a symbol of quality that reflects a healthcare organization’s commitment to providing safe and quality patient care, according to the press release.

“This accreditation is just one way these centers have proven their commitment to a continuous and focused focus on patient-centered care,” said Neil L. Pruitt Jr., President and CEO of PruittHealth . “We have gone to great lengths to ensure that the quality of care is embedded in our culture. Everyone who works at PruittHealth is “committed to taking care of themselves” and this commitment means that we strive to provide the safe, quality care that patients deserve and expect. “

During the visit, a team of reviewers from the Joint Commission assessed the nursing centre’s compliance with standards in several areas, including the care environment, infection prevention and control, medication management and the rights and responsibilities of the individual.

The Joint Commission standards are developed in consultation with experts and healthcare providers, measurement experts and patients. They draw on scientific literature and expert consensus to help healthcare organizations measure, evaluate and improve performance. Investigators also carried out on-site observations and interviews.

“As a private accreditation body, the Joint Commission investigates healthcare organizations to protect the public by identifying gaps in care and working with these bodies to correct them as quickly and sustainably as possible,” says Mark Pelletier, RN, MS, COO, Accreditation and Certification Operations, and CEO of Nursing, The Joint Commission. “We congratulate PruittHealth for its continued quality improvement efforts in patient safety and quality of care. “
